New additions to the line-up!

echofestival_lorca_pusherman

We're extremely happy to announce two rising stars from the UK Bass/House music scene, Lorca & Pusherman, to the line-up for Echo Festival 2012!

Lorca

Named after the houseboat he grew up on, Lorca is one of the most exciting new producers in Britain. Part of a new wave of house producers coming to the genre from dubstep, AkaAkaRoar resident DJ Lorca has seen his tracks appear on Essential Mixes from both Modeselektor and Scuba. His new single on Dummy follows releases on über-hip labels Left_Black, Third Ear and Live Ones.

Check out his recent interview with Source magazine here.

Pusherman

Young, South London based production duo Pusherman are quickly making a name for themselves in what is now conveniently referred to as the Bass Music scene. LNUK Records snapped up their anthem 'Shake It Off' to kick off the labels 12" series, and the track has gone on to receive massive support from Jackmaster - who named it the release he wished he had signed most to his own label, Numbers, in 2012.

SULLY, PEDESTRIAN, KLIC & MEDLAR confirmed...

Echo Festival 2012 / 22th - 24th June / Makarska, Croatia

With less than 2 months to go before the festival, we're happy to announce some of the freshest and talented artists in current UK electronic music scene.

It's a great pleasure for us to announce that Sully will be joining us at Echo festival. Described as the King of Swing amongst DJs and critics alike, what we do know about Sully is that he’s something special. Occupying an interesting place in the music landscape for the last couple of years, Sully has been a consistent producer with his first releases dating back to 2007. With an initial set of heavier dubstep tunes on small labels, he then burst out in a big way with a sudden turn to garage with the mythical ‘Phonebox’ on Frifsjo Beats, rated as one of FACT’s favourite dancefloor jams of the past few years. His debut album 'Carrier' was dropped on Keysound last September, whose blend of 2-step, garage and juke proved to be one of the strongest dance full-lengths of the year. An elusive figure who rarely every plays live, his performance is set to be one of the highlights of the festival!

Another wizard joining the line-up is new talent Pedestrian. His intricate, crystallised production and an instinct for DJ sets that can captivate any club has seen him ranked in K Magazine’s ‘10 Bass Music Artists To Watch Out For In 2012’. With releases through groundbreaking labels Metalheadz and Brownswood, and now with his 'Hei Poa' EP released through Push & Run Records, London-based Pedestrian has a passion for unique and meaningful sound with penetrating basslines, crystallised synths, organic audio sampling and crackling melodic harmonies.

Echo Festival also welcomes Klic/Medlar. 2011 was a fantastic year for Ned Pegler. His original productions under both his Klic and Medlar monikers gained support from a diverse selection of tastemakers including Motor City Drum Ensemble, Jackmaster, Addison Groove and Space Dimension Controller - as well as airplay through Radio 1 and Rinse FM. Medlar's 'Terrell' hit dancefloors hard when it dropped back in June with its Moodymann-like atmospherics, immediately cementing his place as a producer within the record boxes of many of the major players in the deep house scene. His work under Klic continues to explore the territories between house, disco, garage, techno and upfront UK sounds with his stand-out track 'Disco Music' reflecting his eclecticism.

With our line-up growing to a close, things are looking special for our 3-day party on the crystal shore of the Adriatic. Keep your eyes peeled for an extra addition very soon!
